양자컴퓨터란?
- 양자컴퓨터는 텔레포테이션, 얽힘 및 중첩같은 양자역학적인 현상을 활용하여 자료를 처리하는 컴퓨터. 이러한 계산 방법을 양자 컴퓨팅(Quantum Computing)이라고 한다.
- 기존 컴퓨터는 0과 1만 구분할 수 있지만 양자 컴퓨터에서는 0과 1이 공존함. 현존하는 최고의 슈퍼컴퓨터가 수백년이 걸려 풀 수 있는 문제를 양자컴퓨터는 단 몇초 이내의 계산할 수 있을 정도로 빠른 속도.
양자컴퓨터 관련주가 주목받는 이유?
- 2021년 12월 01일 구글은 양자컴퓨터로 물질이 외부에서 에너지를 받지 않고도 주기적으로 구조를 바꾸는 특수한 상태인 신개념 물질 ‘시간 결정’을 처음으로 구현.
- 2021년 11월 16일 IBM은 새로운 양자컴퓨터 프로세서 ‘이글 프로세서’를 발표. 이글 프로세서는 127큐비트를 처리. 앞으로 433큐비트의 오스프리, 1121큐비트의 콘도르 프로세서 등을 개발할 예정.
